Breakfast at Biyela Lodge at @mfulawozi_wilderness takes inspiration from seasonal ingredients and local zulu food stories as the private wilderness concession is in the heart of Zululand on the banks of the mighty White iMfolozi River. Head Chef Sam and his team at Biyela (headed by Chef Bongo) have been a dream to work with in bringing the mFulaWozi food story to life!

Nothing like a little tea time spoil on Safari. De Nothing like a little tea time spoil on Safari. Despite some of my clients lodges and camps having wonderful detailed and elaborate “high teas” - I do ultimately love to keep it simple and classic for guests who have either just eaten lunch or aren’t used to the heat and eating mid afternoon 🌞. 
A delicious seasonal and light cake is a must (like this little carrot & pineapple layer cake- great for summer). Then I always have a healthier treat on offer - like these little blueberry protein bites or fresh fruit for the win (plus a savoury bite too- not pictured).
